She hustles to create feel-good music from real and unborn stories. Started writing songs at the age of 16 she tries to build her craft as she goes on. After joining a songwriting competition in 2017 she then started to pursue her own music. This gave way for her to improve her songwriting skills and music production.
YNISH made her first digital success in 2020 with her first collaboration track with Halcyon Nights called “Let Go” which gained a total of almost 150,000 streams on Spotify, released under Dreamify Records. A chill pop song showcasing her soft vocals. Her first debut single was a track called “BILANG” a Tagalog, ambient, electro, R&B song that talks about finding a contented love.
Her first ep called “Grapheme Color One” was released in 2021, including the track BILANG and two title songs “How 2 Love” and “Twentyfree”. Fun fact about the ep, it was based on YNISH’s condition called grapheme color-synesthesia (a condition where one perceives color in letters and numbers) in YNISH’s case she sees color in numbers. Each song has a corresponding color theme based on YNISH’s scheme. These are the first 5 tracks from the entire muster and the second half was released in October 2022 with the title “Grapheme Color two.” Both Ep gained almost 10,000 streams, respectively.
Although exploring different kinds of genres, YNISH mostly ventures into pop, indie pop, and contemporary R&B. Influenced by her favorite artists, H.E.R, NIKI, Daniel Caesar, Tove Styrke, and Heize to name a few. With timid yet versatile vocals, YNISH’s sound is indicative of her own style. She wants to be more self-expressive when it comes to her music and desires to tell stories through her songs.
In 2022, she officially signed with Dreamify Records as part of their official artists.
