The band started off as a school band initially formed for supposedly just one performance but was followed by another, and eventually, the members continued to stay in touch. During the global pandemic, feelings and bottled-up emotions manifested into songs of catharsis and expression, and the band started posting self-made demos of their original songs starting with Loveless, an acoustic song showcasing how scary it is to fall in love. Loveless was followed by Ayos Lang Magpahinga, Sa Tabi Mo, and more.
In 2021, 157 joined Dreamify Records and released their first official single, Rosas, on February 23, 2022. The track was added to various Spotify playlists, such as Fresh Finds: Philippines, OPM Rising, and Pinoy Indie Mix. As the band gained more attention, they began to play gigs at FYA Radio’s Indie–Zone at Eton Centris, Rakista Radio, the Wish Bus Road Show, and more.
157 is excited to convey stories, narratives, and human experiences through song in order to reach people and make them feel that they are not alone. 157 looks forward to sharing their story and hearing the stories of others.
