Patrick Magada Delantar is a Filipino musician based in Oregon. Learning to sing at an early age from watching his mom performing at bars in the Philippines, he slowly gained inspiration from her, setting him towards a path to music. Magada moved to the United States when he was seven years old. Delaying his dreams until he was twelve, he was suddenly prompted to enter a local talent show: Lincoln Counties’ Got Talent. Winning in the first place he continued forward and even went as far as competing in the Oregon State Fair Talent Contest on his second year of performing live. From then he began to dabble on the guitar and piano, writing his first song inspired by Bob Dylan’s “Knocking On Heaven’s Doorâ€.
Magada’s background of OPM (Filipino Music) the 90s-2000s Rock, Pop, and more recently Electronic music has created a beautiful combination of lyrical storytelling, catchy melodies, and a cinematic experience.
He is most known for his song SANTA CRUZ which garnered over 100,000 views on Youtube in less than 5 days, parodying the Chainsmokers (Inspired by the viral video “How EVERY Chainsmokers song is written†by John Fassold).
